TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms govern your use of Caught4K. They cover what the Service does, what it deliberately doesn't do, and the rules for using it responsibly.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Caught4K (“Caught4K,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in §14; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Caught4K. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. The service

Caught4K helps you evaluate a photo, dating-profile handle, or message excerpt for signs of catfishing, stolen or AI-generated photos, and common scam patterns, and it offers optional tools — Get Home Safe and the Safety Circle — for sharing your location with chosen contacts during a date.

Caught4K is a personal safety and awareness tool, not a background-check or consumer-reporting service.Results are generated by automated systems and reflect the likelihood of certain patterns — they are not a guarantee about any real person’s identity or intentions. Caught4K is not a “consumer reporting agency” under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and its results must not be used for decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, or any other purpose that would require FCRA compliance.

4. Accounts & subscriptions

Running a Check doesn’t require an account. An account or app-store login is only used to manage your Caught4K Pro subscription.

  • Caught4K Pro unlocks unlimited checks and is billed through the Apple App Store at the price shown at purchase (currently $6.99/week, $14.99/month, or $59.99/year in the United States; local pricing varies and is subject to change with notice).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal, through your App Store or Google Play account settings — we cannot cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf.
  • Except where required by law or by the applicable app store’s policies, payments are non-refundable.
  • You’re responsible for keeping your device and app-store account secure, since that’s what your subscription is tied to.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Caught4K to:

  • Stalk, harass, monitor, or surveil another person without their knowledge — including checking on a current partner instead of a prospective match
  • Violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party
  • Make decisions about employment, credit, housing, or insurance based on a Caught4K result
  • Upload content you don’t have the right to submit
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service’s operation
  • Use the Service to generate or spread harassing, defamatory, or illegal content

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates this section, as described in §12.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of anything you submit to run a Check. By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to generate your result, consistent with our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the right to submit the content you provide and that doing so doesn’t violate any law or any third party’s rights.

7. Get Home Safe disclaimer

Get Home Safe and the Safety Circle are alerting and location-sharing tools, not a monitored emergency-dispatch service. Caught4K alerts the people you choose and helps you reach emergency services — it cannot send police or any emergency responder on its own. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number directly. Your Safety Circle’s ability to see and respond to an alert depends on their own device, connectivity, and availability, which Caught4K does not control or guarantee.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by Caught4K or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service — they don’t grant you any ownership in it. You may not copy, modify, resell, or create derivative works from the Service outside what these Terms allow.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that check results will be accurate, complete, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caught4K will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any decision made in reliance on a Check result or any outcome related to a Get Home Safe session.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Caught4K harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we believe harms other users, third parties, or the Service itself. You may stop using the Service at any time; canceling a subscription is handled through your App Store or Google Play account.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Caught4K is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll notify you in the app or by email where applicable. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the changes.
