WHAT CAUGHT4K DOES — AND DOESN’T
Caught4K runs three checks on whatever you give it: a reverse-image search that looks for the photo elsewhere online, a scan for signs the face was AI-generated, and a read of message text for the scripts romance scammers reuse. You get back a verdict — Caught, Kinda Sus, or Looks Real— plus the reasoning behind it. The photo, profile, and messages you submit are scored and discarded; we don’t keep them.
What it isn’t: a background check service, a consumer reporting agency, or proof of anything. It can’t tell you someone is safe — a careful scammer can pass all three checks, and plenty of real people are still bad news. Results are signals. Use them alongside your instincts, not instead of them, and never for employment, housing, credit, or any other decision covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Do I need to make an account?
No. Your first check runs with no sign-up, no email, and no card on file. An account is only ever tied to your subscription, never to the checks themselves.
What exactly does a check look at?
Whatever you give it: a photo runs through Photo Trace and the AI Photo Scan, and DMs or profile text run through the Message Decoder. Add one or all three.
What happens to the photo or messages I submit?
They're used to run that one check and then discarded — we don't store the original photo, profile, or message content on our servers. If you save the result to your Vault, only a short summary is kept, and it lives on your device.
Does a LOOKS REAL verdict mean he's safe?
No. It means nothing surfaced across the three checks — no reverse-image match, no AI-generation signal, no known scam script. Plenty of real people are still bad news, and a careful scammer can pass all three. Treat every verdict as a signal, not proof, and still trust your gut.
Is Caught4K a background check service?
No. Caught4K is a personal safety tool for vetting a match before you meet, not a consumer reporting agency. It shouldn't be used for employment, credit, housing, or any decision covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
How much does Caught4K Pro cost?
Your first verdict is free. Caught4K Pro unlocks unlimited checks and the full breakdown on every verdict: $6.99 per week, $14.99 per month, or $59.99 per year — the best value by a wide margin. Cancel anytime from your Apple Account settings.
YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
Caught4K Pro is billed by Apple, not by us — so cancellations, renewal dates, and refunds are all handled in your Apple Account. It appears there as Caught4K Pro.
CANCEL OR CHANGE PLAN
Open your Apple subscription settings, pick Caught4K Pro, then cancel or switch plans. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
REFUNDS
Apple issues all refunds for in-app purchases. We can’t process one on your behalf, but tell us what went wrong and we’ll fix the underlying problem.
PAID BUT STILL LOCKED OUT?
New phone, or a reinstall? Open Caught4K, go to the upgrade screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple Account you bought with — since Caught4K has no accounts of its own, that’s the only thing tying a subscription to you. If it still won’t restore, email us with your Apple receipt.
YOUR DATA
There’s no account to delete, because there was never one to create. The photos and messages you submit for a check aren’t retained on our servers, and saved verdicts live in the Vault on your phone — not with us.
DELETE EVERYTHING ON YOUR DEVICE
- Open Caught4K and go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Delete Everything and confirm.
- Your Vault is wiped and your anonymous ID is rotated — the app comes back like a fresh install.
Deleting the app itself removes the same data. Note that neither one cancels a subscription — do that in your Apple Account settings first.
